Doing the Exercises
Previous Topic  Next Topic

Each chapter module in the course contains several exercises to help you learn the material being presented. These exercises are completed on your computer; submitted to be corrected, also on your computer; and the results are displayed.

The Exercise Screen

When you come to an exercise, a screen similar to following will be displayed:

Each exercise has the instructions at the top. For example, this exercise asks you to divide each term into its component parts and enter a definition for the term. To do this exercise, you would position your cursor in the box to the right of the medical term and type its component parts. Then, using the Tab key on your keyboard you would move to the next box and enter the definition of the medical term. Then, again using the Tab key on your keyboard, you would move on the next term and repeat the process until you have completed the exercise.

IMPORTANT: Always use your TAB key to move out of the answer you just entered including the last answer in an exercise. This action records your answer so it can be displayed later.

Checking Your Exercise Answers

When you are satisfied with your answers, click on the "Check Answers" button, and a screen similar to the following will be displayed:

Your answers are shown in black and the correct answers are shown in red. Once you have entered your answers, they will remain there unless you erase them. To erase the exercises answers, click the "del ans" button.

Clicking the "Close" button will return you to the Course page.
