ABOUT THIS COURSE

This is a great course for beginner, the experienced, and everyone in between! WHY? Because this course teaches you how medical terms are ‘built’ or ‘put together’ instead of memorizing meaningless medical words you’ll seldom or never use. 

How do we do it? This course teaches what we call ‘Word Building’, which is the knowledge of how medical words are organized. It’s a simple, excellent, and fast way for anyone to learn the basic roots of medical terminology. The goal of this course and ‘word building’ is to familiarize you with the most commonly used terms in the medical and healthcare industry, and for you to recognize the three essential components of a medical term. 

This course is designed to accommodate the healthcare claims biller, the medical insurance claims adjuster, the medical office worker, or anyone wanting to learn medical terminology. The course will take the average person 2 weeks or less to complete. That is a study time of 1-2 hours per day plus practicing with the learning tools included.

• Five Chapters, each containing A ‘Study Time’, ‘Chapter Exercises’ and a “Chapter Test.’
• Easy-to-Understand Course Material with Visual Aids for Better Comprehension
• Exercises taken on-line and the answers to the Exercises immediately displayed. showing the correct answers and your answers
• Chapter Tests are taken on-line and immediately computer-graded, showing where your answers were incorrect and giving you a percentage score. To pass a test you need to score 75 % or greater.
• The Final Exam is computer-graded immediately showing where your answers were incorrect and giving you a percentage score. To pass the course you need to score 75 % or greater.

The Rules

• You must complete one chapter before going on to the next. A chapter is considered complete when you have passed the Chapter Test.
• You may take the test for each chapter as many times as it takes to receive a passing grade You may retake a chapter test even if you have received a passing grade if you wish. 
• You may take the Final Exam once.
