The Learning Aids

As part of the Medical Terminology course, you will use three important learning aids to accelerate your education.

Medical Terminology Flashcards.

This program helps you practice your Medical Terminology by presenting you with components or definitions and you supply the answer. The program immediately tells you whether your answer is right or wrong and gives you the correct answer.

The Component Glossary

The Component Glossary is an exhaustive list of over 670 prefixes, suffixes and root words (components) used in medical terminology, along with their definitions. Search the glossary by component or by words contained in the definition. This lets you lookup definitions of components with which you are not familiar or locate a component to represent a particular word.

Two purchase options are available for the Internet Course:

Individual course  - For one student.

This type of enrollment is for the individual student who wants to learn Medical Terminology. Upon receipt of payment, a student record is established, the student is provided a user id and password,  logs in and takes the Medical Terminology course. The student has a year in which to complete the course.

Seats - For multiple students.

Seats enrollment is designed for organizations who need to train multiple students in Medical Terminology. A seat is a placeholder or reservation for a student to take the course.

The organization requests and pays for a quantity of seats. Upon receipt of payment, a Company record is established containing the number of seats purchased. As the company enrolls students, the number of seats available decreases by one for each student enrolled. When the number or seats purchased is exhausted, the organization purchases additional seats if they wish to train additional students. Unused seats remain available for a year from the date of purchase. Seats enrollment provides student-progress tracking by organization and location.
