Word building is a very simple concept. All of the basic rules and
guidelines have been set forth before you. What is now left for you to
learn is the list of prefixes, suffixes and some basic root words.
Each of the four remaining chapters of this Medical Terminology course will
increase on your word building vocabulary by adding new suffixes, prefixes
and root words.
PRACTICE - COMPONENTS
Direction: just for fun, see if you can divide the following medical
terms into word building components, using the guidelines on the
prior pages. Its okay if you don’t get them right, its just practice.
